A MESSAGE FROM OUR PROGRAM CHAIR

I want to thank you for your interest in the EDGE Program. The past two years have been very challenging with information changing day-by-day. Now that we have more guidance from Minister Ford and Mayor Tory we are ready to move forward with new measures in place based on our new COVID-19 realities.

As you all know, vaccination is a key part of the province’s overall COVID-19 response and one of the best ways to keep everyone safe as we navigate our return to life as we once knew it. The path back has been a little longer than anyone could have expected. However, with the right plan for moving forward, we’re taking the initial steps toward a wider re-opening in the new year. New protocols will be in place to support participants while keeping our team members safe.

Protocols for return to in-person workshops for all participants, facilitators and team members
In keeping with the Provinces mandatory vaccination requirements for banquet halls AND The City of Toronto’s vaccination requirements for all indoor youth sporting activities, The EDGE Program requires all team members, facilitators and program participants 12 and older to provide proof of vaccination on or before November 1.

If proof of vaccine cannot be provided, unfortunately, you will not be able to participate in the 2021-2022 program. Please note that all guests attending the Cotillion Ball (in the Summer of 2022) must also show proof of vaccination to the venue as part of the provincial mandate otherwise entry will be denied.

To provide proof of vaccination please email taketheedge@gmail.com and attach your Childs 2 dose series or a single dose series taken in the last 28 days illustrating intent to vaccinate.

Coming Back: Program starts in November
We plan to start our return to in-person workshops in the spring but, vaccination status is required by November 1 so we can complete the program roster before the sessions begin. Once in-person sessions resume COVID-19 screening forms will also be required prior to entering the church facilities. The EDGE Program Screening Form

I realize that some personal opinions to vaccinate may differ but, The EDGE Program is obligated to follow Provincial and City wide mandates to avoid citation and/or program suspension.

I look forward to welcoming you all back to in-person sessions very soon!

Thanks everyone – stay safe!
